As part of a spending review, the Federal Government has instructed the National Social Security Office (NSSO) to examine the relevance an efficiency of the Overseas Social Security (OSS). To support this study, the NSSO wishes to use this survey to identify the current needs and expectations regarding social security amongst employers who employ staff outside the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
Your experience as an employer would be indispensable in this regard. We want to gain a better understanding of how you currently organise social security coverage for your staff working outside the EEA, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, what challenges you face in doing so, and what solutions you use to address these challenges. We also wish to examine the role, if any, that the OSS plays in this regard.
Even if your organisation is not familiar with the OSS, does not make use of it, or organises social security coverage for its staff in a completely different way, your opinion is important. It is precisely these different experiences that help us to gain as comprehensive a view as possible of the current needs and practices amongst employers.
