As part of a spending review, the Federal Government has instructed the National Social Security Office (NSSO) to examine the relevance and efficiency of the Overseas Social Security (OSS). To support this study, the NSSO aims, through this survey, to identify the social security needs of Belgians living or working outside the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
Your experiences are essential to this process. We want to gain a better understanding of how Belgian expats currently organise their social security coverage, what needs they experience and what role the OSS plays – or does not play – in this regard.
Even if you are not familiar with the OSS, do not make use of it or organise your social security coverage in a completely different way, your opinion is important. It is precisely these different experiences that help us to gain as comprehensive a view as possible of the current situation.
